BOC-NAIA Recognizes Top Importers For 2nd Quarter of 2022

As part of its efforts to promote a healthy trade environment, the Bureau of Customs- Port of NAIA on July 28, 2022, held a recognition event for the Port’s top importers for the 2nd quarter of 2022 at the Port’s Conference Room in Pasay City.

The event was hosted by BOC-NAIA District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan and was attended by various importers and BOC-NAIA Officials.


LOUIS VUITTON was awarded as the third top importer with P315 million in paid duties and taxes, GLOBE TELECOM came in second with P338 million and SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS PHILIPPINES CORPORATION again getting the top spot with P528 million worth of paid duties and taxes.

The Port’s Deputy Collectors were also recognized for their unwavering dedication which has resulted in the success of the Port under Collector Carmelita M. Talusan.

In her statement, Collector Talusan expressed her gratitude to all BOC stakeholders, saying they were key to the success of the Port. She assured the Port’s stakeholders that BOC- NAIA shall continue to introduce reforms and initiatives that will promote ease of doing business and trade facilitation


“We will continue to work to provide quality public service to all while staying true to our mandates of trade facilitation, border protection and lawful revenue collection”, Talusan said.

BOC-NAIA, she added, continues to innovate its processes and procedures to adopt with global trends and innovations.


“This is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr’s thrust to “pursue measures to determine possible undervaluation and/or trade mis invoicing of imported goods and promote streamlined processes through information and communications technology” which was stated during his State Of The Nation Address. As the nation gears towards economic growth, BOC NAIA, under the leadership of new BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon L. Ruiz, shall remain committed to be a gateway to international travelers and air cargo Importers as it remains one of the nation’s premiere Ports,” Talulsan said. (Baby Cuevas)
