“These successive interdiction operations reflect the Bureau of Customs’ intensified efforts to stop the entry of illegal drugs and other contraband into the country. Through stronger intelligence sharing and close coordination with our partner agencies, we are steadily strengthening our ability to detect and intercept illicit shipments at our borders,” saad ni Nepomuceno.

“The BOC–NAIA remains fully committed to supporting the bureau’s intensified anti-drug and anti-smuggling operations. Through close collaboration with our partner agencies and constant vigilance at our borders, we will continue to strengthen our efforts to prevent illegal drugs and other contraband from entering the country,” ani Mapa.

Aniya, “the operation is in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to intensify the campaign against illegal drugs, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and partner law enforcement agencies.”

Napag-alaman kay BOC deputy chief of staff at spokesman Atty.

“The shipments were falsely declared as ordinary items in an apparent attempt to evade customs inspection,” dagdag pa nito.

“The operation was conducted also through the coordinated efforts of the BOC–Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force (CAIDTF), PDEA Regional Office-NCR, PNP Aviation Security Group, Airport Police Department, PNP Drug Enforcement Group and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI),” dagdag pa nito.
