Inatasan ng Supreme Court (SC) sa pamamagitan ng pag isyu ng show cause order si dating National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson Lorraine Badoy na magpaliwanag kung bakit hindi siya dapat na ma-contempt sa kanyang naging pahayag kay Manila Regional Trial Court Judge Marlo Magdoza-Malagar.
Sa kautusan ng SC binigyan si Badoy ng 30 araw at ito ay non-extendible para.magpaliwanag.
Nabatid na sinampahan na rin ng kasong “indirect contempt’ ng mga abogado at mga law school dean sa Supreme Court (SC) si dating National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) spokesperson Loorain Badoy dahil sa mga social media posts nito laban kay Manila Judge Marlo Magdoza-Malagar.
Ang pagsasampa ng Urgent Petition for Indirect Contempt laban kay Badoy ay pinangunahan ni Philippine Bar Association president Rico Domingo.
Kabilang rin sina law school deans Tony La Viña, Ma. Soledad Deriquito-Mawis, Anna Maria Abad, Rodel Taton; at mga abogadong sina Artemio Calumpong, Christianne Grace Salonga, Ray Paolo Santiago at Ayn Ruth Tolentino-Azarcon sa nagsampa ng indirect contempt kay Badoy.
“We believe that considering the gravity and nature of statements of former [Unersecretary] Badoy, we believe that it would be punishable of indirect contempt, Rule 71 Section 3D,” ayon kay Domingo.
“Any improper conduct tending, directly or indirectly, to impede, obstruct or degrade the administration of justice,”nakasaad sa mosyon.
“The SC repeatedly said that you can express your disappointments or disagreements but there is a limit to that. You cannot lambast the court,”dagdag pa ni Domingo.
Nabatid na hindi lamang reputasyon.at kredibilidad ni Judge Malagar ang nasira sa FB post ni Badoy kundi maging sa lahat ng miyembro ng Philippine Bench at Bar.
Sa 38-pahinang petisyon hiniling na ideklara ng SC na guilty si Badoy of Indirect contempt na mag parusang 6 na buwan pagka bilanggo at multang P30,000. (Carl Angelo)
