Army blesses newly- acquired Bolkow Bo 105 helicopter

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army conducted a blessing ceremony for the Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm (MBB) Bo 105 helicopter donated by Dornier Technology, Inc. on October 26, 2022 at the Headquarters Army Aviation Regiment, Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., emphasized that the Bolkow Bo 105 helicopter given by Dornier Technology, Inc. will catalyze the Army’s future rotary aviation and a springboard to improve the capacity of Aviation “Hiraya” Regiment.


Likewise, the Army Chief conveyed that the Army will continue to push for additional air assets to develop the Aviation Regiment’s capability of supporting combined operations through the acquisition of armed reconnaissance helicopters, medium-lift multi-purpose helicopters, and special mission aircraft as well as the expansion of its base support facilities. “I vow to develop and enhance the capability of Army Aviation,” concluded Lt. Gen. Brawner.#
