Mr. Saleh Tembo, the Security Adviser for the Philippines of the United Nations Department for Safety and Security (UNDSS), paid a courtesy call to Maj. Gen. Steve Crespillo, Commander of Western Mindanao Command, last week.
Maj. Gen. Crespillo and his command staff warmly welcomed the distinguished visitor during his arrival at Camp Navarro, Calarian, this city, at 3 p.m. Thursday.
The Security Adviser visited WestMinCom purposely to reinvigorate the operational relationship between the AFP and UNDSS. Also, Mr. Tembo extended his full support for the peace and development campaign of the AFP.
Maj. Gen. Crespillo expressed his gratitude to Mr. Tembo for taking the time to visit the command. He also pledged support to the plans and programs of the UNDSS, which could contribute to the preservation of peace and order in the Mindanao region.
Mr. Tembo and Maj. Gen. Crespillo agreed that the good connection between the two organizations is crucial in the delivery of fast and better services to the people, especially during crises.
