Inaresto ng mga operatiba ng Bureau of Immigration-Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) ang isang American fugitive na wanted sa kasong multiple sexual crimes, kasama na ang rape at ‘offenses against a minor’, sa isang enforcement operation sa Lucena City, Quezon Province.

Ayon sa ulat ni BI- FSU Chief Rendel Ryan Sy, ang pag-aresto ay naganap nitong January 28, sa Barangay Mayao, Lucena City, sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa Lucena City Police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Quezon Police Provincial Office at government intelligence forces.

Ang American ay kinilala lamang na si “Jan”, 56, na isang undesirable and overstaying alien at fugitive from justice batay sa opisyal na communication mula sa United States government.

“Jan” is the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Superior Court of Washington for King County in 2024, charging him with Rape in the Second Degree, and Rape of a Child in the Third Degree under the Revised Code of Washington, among others.

His passport has likewise been revoked by the U.S. Department of State, making him an undocumented alien,” ayon pa sa report ni Sy.

Napag-alaman naman kay BI spokesperson Dana Sandoval na si “Jan” ay huling pumasok ng Pilipinas noong 2023, na walang subsequent visa extension kaya siya naging overstaying alien. Nakita rin umano sa records na siya ay nasa ‘active blacklist and watchlist orders for being an undocumented and undesirable alien.’

Ani Sandoval, ang suspect ay mananatili sa BI Warden’s Facility habang sumasailalim sa deportation proceedings.
