A Philippine Air Force fighter plane crashed yesterday morning in Pilar Bataan and it was reported that there were two casualties on board according to the air force and Bataan PNP.
According to Air Force spokesperson Col. Ma Consuelo Castillo, an SF 260TP Marchettis, aircraft crashed at around 10:34 while conducting a recurrency /training flight in the Pilar area from Sangley Point.
There were two PAF personnel on board the said attack aircraft which is under the PAF 15th Strike Wing but Col Castillo refused to identify the two pilots and what their condition was.
“The sf260 aircraft from Sangley, it was on a recurrency training and that there were two pilots involved. unfortunately we cannot give details more than that, investigation is ongoing,” said Col Castillo.
According to the report of the Pilar Municipal Police Station, the said fighter plane crashed in a rice paddy near Sitio Tabon, Brgy. Del Rosario, BAYAN NG Pilar and on board Captain Ian Gerru C Paulo and John Paulo O. Aviso.
It is known that Pilar MPS received a call regarding the plane crash that occurred.
Agad na rumesponde ang mga pulis sa crash site. “Immediately personnel of this station responded to the crashed site and found out an air force plane with number 29 crashed in the middle of the field with two(2) pilots both servicemen of Philippine Airforce still inside the cockpit., ayon sa police report.
Sinasabing nasaksihan ng ilang residente ang mabilis na pagbulusok ng eroplano sa palayan hanggang sa bumagsak ito. According to witnesses, around 10:42 am, they seen a plane fast descending downward to field and crashed in the said area.
Kaugnay nito bilang standard precautionary measure at habang nagsasagawa ng pagsisiyasat sa sanhi ng plane crash ay pansamantalang grounded muna lahat ang kanilang PAF SF 260 aircraft. (VICTOR BALDEMOR RUIZ)
