ISANG kilos- protesta ang isinagawa ng Alliance of Health Workers(AHW) sa harapan ng Gate ng Department of Health(DOH), kahapon ng umaga para igiit na mabayaran ang hindi pa nababayarang benepisyo para sa kanila at ang pagbibigay ng mataas na budget sa mga pampublikong ospital.
Ayon kay Robert Mendoza, AHW national president, Setyembre na ngayon pero hindi pa rin nababayaran ng buo ang kanilang benepisyo na One COVID Allowance (OCA) at Health Emergency Allowance (HEA) mula Enero hanggang Hunyo 22.
“It is already BER months, and yet the promised One COVID allowance starting January 2022 –June 2022 is not yet fully released to health workers in the GOCC hospitals, PGH, private and LGUs. Besides OCA, retroactive payment of HEA covering the period of July-December 2021 is not yet also released. We are also expecting the implementation of HEA starting July 2022 up to the present.” ayon kay Sally Ejes, Acting President, Philippine Heart Center Employees Association-AHW.
Binatikos ng mga health workers ang DOH at DBM dahil sa pagtuturuan sa pagkakaloob ng benepisyo ng mga health workers.
Una nang sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos. Jr. na hindi sapat ang kinikita ng mga health workers.
Sa ilalim ng OCA at HEA, ang low- risk health workers ay tatanggap ng P3,000 kada buwan; medium, P6K; at P9K sa.mga health workers na may high-risk exposure. (Jaymel Manuel)
