The Armed Forces of the Philippines joined the Metrobank Foundation Inc. to celebrate the 2024 Metrobank Foundation for Outstanding Filipinos – Award for Soldiers (MFOFAS) on September 11, here. The ceremony was attended by LtGen Charlon Sean M Gaerlan, The AFP Deputy Chief of Staff as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
In his message, LtGen Gaerlan lauded the three military personnel for their well-deserved achievements and reaffirmed the AFP’s continued support for their professional development.
The 2024 MFOFAS was presented to Captain Salvador M Sambalilo PN (GSC), Assistant Chief of Fleet Staff for Weapons, Communications, Electronics, and Information, F6; Major Ron Jr T Villarosa (INF) PA, Chief of Civil Affairs Center, Civil-Military Operations Regiment; and SSg Michael S. Rayanon PN(M), Public Affairs Non-Commissioned Officer of Marine Battalion Landing Team 3.
The event underscored the AFP’s recognition of the courage and dedication of the awardees for exemplifying the highest ideals of service, making significant impacts in both operational and community settings. The AFP reaffirms its commitment to honoring Filipino excellence and inspiring future generations.
