NAKATAKDANG magsagawa sa live fire exercise ang Armed Forces of the philippine sa dagat fronting west philippine sea sa kaunaunahang pagkakataon kaugnay sa ginaganap na AFP Joint Exercise “DAGIT-PA” 2022 na pinasimulan kahapon sa Palawan.
Agad nilinaw ni AFP Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Bartolome Vicente Bacarro na walang kinalaman sa teritorrial issue sa South China Sea or West Philippine Sea ang ginaganap na AFP Joint Exercise (AJEX) “DAGIT-PA” sa Palwan dahil matagal na itong naka plano.
Nilinaw din ni General Bob Bacarro na maging ang mga ginap na joint exercises sa pagitan AFP at mga kaalyadong bansa ay nagkataon lamang na ginanap sa Palawan at walang kinalaman anumang maritime dispute sa West Phillipine sea.

DAGIT-PA, “Dagat-Langit-Lupa” isang AFP-wide/AFP-only exercise pinagsama sama ang Philippine Navy, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, at AFP Special Operations Forces para linangin ang kanilang kakayahan o interopeability capabilities to accomplish missions sa dagat, himpapawid at katihan.
“In light of the prevailing complexities of our domestic and global security environment, it is critical that we, in the AFP, continue to strengthen our joint operating concept through the enhanced interoperability and cohesive employment of our various competencies in the conduct of a wide spectrum of security operations, disaster response, and community development efforts,” sabi pa Lt. Gen. Bacarro.
Kasa ni AFP Chief of Staff sina Brigadier General Marvin Licudine, Commander AFP Education Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) na siya din Exercise Director, at si Rear Admiral Donn Anthony Miraflor, Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training and Doctrine.
Members of the Joint Staff and representatives of Major Service Commanders also attended the ceremony. Vice Admiral Alberto B Carlos, Commander of Western Command (WESCOM), and commanders of other participating units joined the ceremony through virtual teleconferencing.
Ang pagsasanay ay gaganapin sa joint operational area ng WESCOM sa Palawan hangga November 18.
Among the significant events are Air Defense/Counter-Air Operations, Maritime Security Operations, Amphibious Operations, Combined Arms Live Fire Exercises, Urban Operations, and Urban Warfare.pahayag naman ni Rear Adm Miraflor.
Nasa 1,500 active and reserve forces mula sa Army, Air Force, Navy, at Marines, at maging sa AFP Special Operations Command and AFP Cyber Group, ang sasabak sa pagsasanay.
Kabilang sa mga assets na gagamitin ang Philippine Army’s new C-206 aircraft and armored vehicles; Philippine Navy’s patrol ship, landing dock, naval helicopters, and fixed wing aircraft; Philippine Air Force’s FA-50PH, A29B Super Tucano and C-130 aircraft; and Philippine Marines’ Amphibious Assault Vehicles.
