CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City –The Armed Forces of the Philippines rendered a testimonial parade and review in honor of retiring generals on November 23, 2024, at the Philippine Military Academy, Baguio City.
Honors were given to Lieutenant General William Gonzales, Commander of Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM); Major General Noel D Beleran, the AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8; Major General Marion Sison, Commander 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army; Commodore Carlos Antonio Sabarre, Commander of Naval Installation Command, Philippine Navy; Brigadier General Oriel Pangcog, Commander of 601st Infantry Unifier Brigade, Philippine Army; and Brigadier General Jaime Abawag, Assistant Division Commander of 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army.
The event was presided over by PMA Superintendent Rear Admiral Caesar Bernard Valencia, who commended the honorees for their steadfast dedication, integrity, and exemplary service. He also highlighted their significant roles in strengthening national security and upholding the AFP’s core values.
The ceremony served as a tribute to their remarkable military service, ensuring their legacies and achievements are celebrated and remembered as an inspiration to others.
