HINDI direktang kinumpirma ng pamunuan ng Armed Forces of the Philippine (AFP), partikular ang Philippine Air Force, kung ginamit ni Pangulong Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos, Jr., ang kanilang air asset na G280 Gulfstream aircraft nang magtungo ito sa Singapore para manood ng F1 grand prix kamakailan lamang.
Gayunman, nilinaw ni PAF spokesperson Col. Ma Consuelo Castillo na “it is in performance of the mandate of the 250th PAW, PAF as directed by higher office.”
Ayon kay Col. Castillo ang PAF sa pamamagitan ng 250th Presidential Airlift Wing ay naatasan na magkaloob ng safe and secure air transport sa Presidente para sa lahat ng kanyang pagkilos, base sa kautusan ng “higher office.”
“It is the rason d etre or reason for being of the 250th PAW, thus , all its air assets are dedicated for the use of the President and the First Family. The G280 aircraft,being a command and control aircraft, allows the President to perform his very critical function as Commander in Chief, AFP, while airborne, wherever he is around the globe; whether on state functions or otherwise. paglilinaw pa ni Castillo.
