Mark your calendars for an extraordinary event as the Armed Forces of the Philippines and various Uniformed Agencies will take center stage at MusiKalayaan 2024 at the Open Air Auditorium in Rizal Park on June 7 2024.
The said event will celebrate the spirit of freedom and patriotism in collaboration with the National Development Committee and the National Historical Commission of the Philippines.
Notably, this will mark the first MusiKalayaan event to feature a musical theatre play, spearheaded by the Media and Civil Affairs Group, Civil Relations Service AFP.
Additionally, the celebration will highlight the importance of protecting the nation’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, particularly in the West Philippine Sea, emphasizing the role of the military in safeguarding Philippine interests and maritime rights.
Titled “PMA (Pangarap, Mensahe, Adhikain): Semi Musikal na Dula at Konsierto ng bayaning Pilipino”, the story will unfold through the dreams of different branches of the Armed Forces, showcasing their aspirations and dedication to serve the nation.
The characters will come from three major services of the AFP: including the Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Navy featuring other uniformed agencies: Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Baseco, Cadet Youth Group, and the GHQ String Ensemble.
Moreover, admission to this celebration of the 126th Independence Day is free. No tickets are needed, and there are no registration fees. Simply come, immerse yourself in Philippine culture and highlight the sacrifices of the troops depicted through music and drama.
