Manila Police District-Station 14 operatives nabbed a 28-year-old accountant in Quiapo, Manila on the complaint of a woman who accused him of secretly making a video recording of their sexual encounter and then threatening to show it to her friends if she refuses to have sex with him again.

Police identified the suspect as John Mitchelle, of Room 9120 Shore Residences, Pasay City, while the complainant is a 19-year-old woman who resides in Quiapo, Manila.

It was learned that before the operation, the victim told the police that she met the suspect via a message to her Instagram account and through a dating app.

The suspect reportedly invited her to his unit on August 31, 2026 and convinced her to have sex with him in exchange for P50,000.

On September 2, the victim said she went to the suspect’s condominium unit and the two had sex. However, the suspect was said to have paid the victim only P20,000 and promised to hand over the balance of P30,000 the moment they meet again.

When she arrived home, the victim received a message from the suspect, telling her that he has their sex video and would send it to her friends if she does not return to his condo.

The victim said that the threat went on from September 5 to 9, so that she decided to file a complaint with the police.

Meanwhile, the suspect will be charged with violation of Article 286 of RPC (Grave Coercion) in relation to Section 6 of RA 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
