A 62-year-old female, known by the alias “Aida”, was arrested in the early afternoon of May 28, 2025, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 after authorities intercepted an attempt to transport illegal drugs during routine security screening.

At approximately 1:00 PM, operatives of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (IADITG) conducted an operation at the Final Security Screening Checkpoint in the International Departure Area, leading to the apprehension of the suspect, who was scheduled to board a flight bound for Bacolod City.

Also seized during the operation were cellular phone, digital weighing scale, travel documents, and identification cards.

The suspect is now in custody and will face charges for violation of Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
