51 STRANDED SA BATANES, KINUHA NG PAF

KINUHA at inihatid ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) Tactical Operations Group 2 at Northern Luzon Command ang may 51 indibidwal na na-stranded sa Basco, Batanes dahil sa nagdaang bagyo na pumaralisa sa mga porma ng transportasyon.

Sinundo ng PAF Tactical Operation Wing Northern Luzon at AFP- NOLCOM ang mga stranded guests at locals mula Basco, Batanes gamit ang C-295 aircraft.


Ilan sa mga tinulungan ng PAF ay inihatid sa Laoag Airport, Ilocos Norte habang ang iba na papuntang Metro Manila ay ibinaba sa Col. Jesus Villamor Air Base, sa Pasay City.

“The said mission was carried out in response to the request of the Provincial Government of Batanes, which had a week-long inclement weather brought about by the recent typhoons Egay and Falcon, thus leaving many airline passengers stranded due to flight cancellations,” pahayag ni PAF Commander Lt. Gen Stepehen Parreno.

Ayon naman kay NOLCOM Commander Lt.General Fernyl Buca, PAF, kabilang sa mga sinerbisyuhan ng air force C95 aircraft ay may medical at emergency needs.


“The mission was made possible through the close coordination among the PAF, Provincial Government of Batanes and NOLCOM”, pahayag naman ni Col Al Anthony Pueblas tagapagsalita ng NOLCOM.
