5.3M COCAINE, NA-RECOVER NG PHILIPPINE MARINES

Itinatayang aabot sa ?5.3 Million ang halaga ng cocaine na na-recover ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Marines na nakatalaga sa 21st Marine Company/ Marine Battalion Landing Team-1 na naka base sa t Barangay Bubuan, South Ubian, Tawi-Tawi.

Matapos nilang respondehan ang tawag hinggil sa kahina-hinalang bagay na nakitang palutang lutang sa dagat sakop ng nabangit na barangay.Pagsdapit sa area ay nakita ng mga rtauhan ng Marines angisang plastic cellophane na naglalaman ng isang bloke ng yellowish substance na pinaniniwalaang cocaine.

Ayon kay Brig. Gen. Romeo Racadio, Commander ng Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi, itinuro ng isang concerned citizen ang nasabing bagay habang namumulot ng mga basyong plastic sa dalampasigan ng Barangay Bubuan.

“Based on the information gathered from the residents of the said barangay, the item was originally wrapped with several layers of plastic cellophane tied with rubber bands in every layer and marked as “cocaine” and “D&B”. However, the original wrapper was already ripped and was not recovered”, ayon sa ulat.

Ang hinihinalang droga na tumitimbang ng isang kilogram ay agad na ibinigay s apag-iingat ng PDEA Tawi-Tawi para sa kaukulang laboratory examination and proper disposition.

Pinapurihan naman ni Marine Brig. Gen. Arturo Rojas, Acting Commander Western Mindanao Command, ang mga tauhan ng Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi dahil sa nabangit na trabaho.
