4ID set to join ‘Higalaay’ Festival 2022 in Cagayan De Oro City

CAMP EVANGELISTA, Cagayan de Oro City – The 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division, Philippine Army, in coordination with LGU-Cagayan de Oro City, will join this year’s weeklong celebration of the “Higala-ay Festival (August 20-28, 2022), jibed with 4ID’s 52nd Founding Anniversary, with the theme “Sustaining Excellence through Institutionalized Partnership.”

MGen Wilbur C Mamawag, Commander 4ID, enjoins everyone to witness a 3-day Static and Kinetic Display and Peace Concert at the Centrio, Ayala Mall, Cagayan de Oro City from August 23 to 25, 2022, which will showcase the Army’s assets, capabilities and services.

The 3-day event will feature performances from 4ID Combo, demonstrations from the Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and female soldiers, as well as the installation of information booths from the Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Philippine Air Force, Philippine Coast Guard, Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Corner, Explosives and Ordnance Unit, Engineer, Signal and Armor Units, and Camp Evangelista Station Hospital booth among others.


Also, the Command will participate in a motorized Military-Civic Parade on August 27, 2022, which will highlight the Army’s latest mobility assets and equipment. Relatedly, the Philippine Army Dragon Boat Warriors will also participate in the 3rd Motor Ace – Kagay-an Dragon Boat Fiesta Race on August 20-21, 2022 to be held at Isla De Oro, Cagayan de Oro River.
