APAT na empleyado ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang dinakip ng mga ahente nito dahil diumano sa pagsa -sideline bilang ‘fixers’ sa isinagawang entrapment operation noong Lunes sa labas ng NBI Clearance Center sa United Nations Avenue, Ermita,Maynila.
Ayon Kay NBI Director Jaime Santiago, kasamang inaresto ng mga empleyado ang pito pang fixers na nag-aalok ng mabilis na pa-isyu ng NBI clearance sa halagang P800 hanggang P2,000.
Ayon kay Santiago ,ang mga naturang NBI employees ay nakikipag-sabwatan sa mga fixers para sa mabilis na pag proseso ng NBI Clearance.
Sinabi ni Santiago na nakatanggap siya ng impormasyon kaugnay sa iligal na aktibidad ng mga NBI employee kaya ikinasa ang entrapment operation ng NBI-Cybercrime Division (NBI-CCD) at NBI – Special Task Force (NBI-STF).
Ayon Kay Santiago walang puwang sa kagawaran ang mga corrupt na empleyado.

Sinampahan ng Direct Bribery under Article 210 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC); Sections 3(b) and (e) of R.A. No. 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act); Section 7(d) of R.A. No. 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees); at Section 21(c) and (h) of R.A. No. 11032 (Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018) in relation to Section 6 of R.A. No. 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012) ang mga nasabing empleyado.
