Airport Security Screening Officers of the Office for Transportation Security (OTS) numbering 368 took oath on Thursday, November 7, 2024, as they were promoted to Intelligence Agent I, contractual position, an upgrade from their previous item under a Contract of Service.
These newly promoted personnel underwent assessment by the OTS Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB), based on their length of service, education, and individual performance on duty.
From their previous basic salary of P16,209, they will now receive a basic monthly salary of P20,534, plus other similar benefits and privileges enjoyed by regular employees such as leave credits, bonuses, and other allowances.
In his opening remarks, OTS Administrator Undersecretary Crizaldo Nieves acknowledged the hard work of the promoted personnel and their sacrifices.
“Sa bawat araw ng inyong serbisyo, dala ninyo ang tiwala ng ating mga kababayan na naglalakbay, at ang kanilang kaligtasan ay nakasalalay sa inyong mga kamay. Nais ko kayong pasalamatan lahat, sa inyong sakripisyo, sa inyong pagiging matapat, at higit sa lahat sa inyong walang sawang pagsisilbi sa ating kapwa.” he said.
