Out of 10,006 applicants who participated in the venue selection and were assigned to their respective local testing centers, 9,207 candidates took and completed both tests given, equivalent to a 92.01% turnout, during the first day of the 2022 Bar Examinations on November 9, 2022.
The morning exam was on Political Law and International Law (with related Tax Principles), while the exam in the afternoon was on Labor Law. On Day 2, November 13, 2022, the morning examination will be on Criminal Law (and Practical Exercises) while the afternoon examination will be on Commercial Law. Day 3, November 16, 2022, will cover Civil Law I in the morning and Civil Law II (and Practical Exercises) in the afternoon.
On Day 4, November 20, 2022, it will be Remedial Law I in the morning and Remedial Law II (with Basic Tax Remedies) and Legal Ethics in the afternoon. Supreme Court Associate Justice and 2022 Bar Examinations Committee Chairperson Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa monitored the second digitalized and regionalized Bar Examinations from the Command Center in the National Capital Region (NCR).
He also visited nearby testing sites. Joining Justice Caguioa in the inspection of the venues were Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo, Senior Associate Justice Marvic M.V.F. Leonen, Justice Ramon Paul L. Hernando, Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier, Justice Rodil V. Zalameda, Justice Mario V. Lopez, Justice Samuel H. Gaerlan, Justice Jose Midas P. Marquez, and Justice Maria Filomena D. Singh, all of whom visited the testing center in Ateneo de Manila University; and Justice Antonio T. Kho, Jr. and Justice Japar B. Dimaampao, who, along with Justice Lopez, inspected the San Beda University testing center. Justice Dimaampao likewise visited the De La Salle University and Manila Adventist College testing centers.
The 14 local testing centers are: NCR (1. San Beda University; 2. De la Salle University; 3. Manila Adventist College; 4. Ateneo de Manila University; 5. University of the Philippines – Bonifacio Global City); LUZON (6. Saint Louis University; 7. De la Salle Lipa; 8. University of Nueva Caceres); VISAYAS (9. University of Cebu; 10. University of San Carlos; 11. Dr. Vicente Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation); and MINDANAO (12. Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan; 13. Ateneo de Davao University; and 14. Ateneo de Zamboanga University).

He is very pleased and hopes for the same results in the remaining Bar Exam days. Justice Caguioa cautioned all examinees and the staff involved in the conduct of the Bar Exams to continue strictly adhering to the health protocols.
