18 NAPASLANG SA GIYERA KONTRA DAWLAH ISLAMIYAH-MAUTE GROUP

HINDI nilulubayan ng Philippine Army -1st Infantry “Tabak” Division ang ginagawang pagtugis sa grupo ng mga tumatakas na kasapi ng Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute Terror Group na kanilang nakasagupa nitong nakalipas na linggo na ikinasawi ng anim na sundalo at ikinasugat ng apat na iba pa sa Munai, Lanao Del Norte .

Mismong si Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner ang nagsabing tuloy- tuloy ang kanilang isinasagawang pursuit operations laban sa Daulah Islamiyah-Maute Group at 18 nang terorista ang kanilang napapatay sa hanay ng mga responsable sa pagpapasabog sa Mindanao State University noong nakalipas na taon.


“Our operations have been successful so far and have resulted in the neutralization of 18 DI-MG members including @Engineer who masterminded the attack on innocent civilians. In continuation of this effort,an operation was launched last February 18 resulting in 3 more dead among the enemy and several others wounded based on intelligence information,” ani Branwer.

“ However, six of our valiant soldiers paid the ultimate sacrifice while another four were wounded. The wounded were already evacuated to Camp Evangelista Station Hospital, pahayag pa nto.

Ayon kay 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division Commander Mgen Gabriel Viray III, tatlong kasapi Daulah Islamiyah ang kumpirmadong napaslang at isa rito ang narecover ng mga tauhan ng Army 44th Infantry Battalion , Army 7SRC at 8SRC malapit sa encounter site matapos na abandonahin ng mga tumatakas na terorista.


“I extend my sincerest condolences to the families of our slain soldiers and offer the AFP’s support in this very trying time. I will also make sure that our wounded soldiers receive the best treatment possible for their injuries,” pahayag pa ni Brawner.

Kabilang sa 18 napatay ng military troops ang tinaguriang “Engineer,” ang sinasabing “mastermind” sa MSU bombing sa Marawi na ikinamatay ng ng apat at ikinasugat ng may 40 katao, ani Mgen Viray.


.“Their courage in the face of danger and their commitment to protecting our communities are truly commendable despite the challenges such as poor visibility due to thick fog, progress continues as troops remain mobile and pursuit operations are ongoing,” saad ni Viray.

“On the other hand, I extend my deepest condolences to the families of our fallen heroes and wish a speedy recovery to those injured in the line of duty,” pahayag ni Maj. Gen. Viray lll.
