Labinlimang menor de edad na biktima ng cybersex sa Maynila ang nasagip ng mga tauhan ng Department of the Interior and Local Government(DILG) at Philippine National Police – National Capital Region Police Office (PNP – NCRPO).
Pinangunahan ni DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos at NCRPO Chief Police Brigadier General Jonnel Estomo ang operasyon sa isang bahay sa Sampaloc.
Naaresto naman ng mga awtoridad ang dalawang bugaw na sina Nazarene Joy Nodado, 18 at isang menor de edad at dinala ang mga ito sa Women and Children Protection Center para sa kaukulang disposiayon
Ayon kay Abalos,ang administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at kinokondena ang cyberporn at iba pang iligal na aktibidad lalo na ang sangkot ay mga bata.
“These kinds of crimes are very disturbing, and the worst of its kind as it targets and victimizes innocent children. The impact of cybersex crimes on children are long-term and oftentimes, ruin their lives,” ani Abalos.
Umapela rin si Abalos sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) at sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) na magtulong sa pakikipaglaban sa sa cybercrime kasama ang DILG partikular na sa cyberpornography.
Hinikayat din niya ang publiko na i-report ang mga pinaghihinalaang aktibidad partikular na ang mga bata sa DILG o PNP hotline. (Carl Angelo)
