Along Velasquez and Vitas Streets in Tondo, banner-waving residents went out in throngs, blocking the float of Lacuna and Servo to shake their hand, get their autographs or have selfies.

The residents also had bands playing as confetti rained and crackers were exploded as a way of welcoming the motorcade.

At one point during the campaign, Lacuna and Servo hurriedly got off their float upon seeing a wheelchair-bound man seemingly having a seizure while lined up along Velasquez St.
