Ipinroklama na ng Asenso Manileño, ang dominant local political party sa Maynila, ang powerhouse lineup nito para sa May 2025 local elections sa isang ‘jampacked’ na convention na ginanap sa San Andres Sports Complex Biyernes ng hapon.
Nangunguna sa lineup ang re-electionists na sina Mayor Honey Lacuna at Vice Mayor Yul Servo, gayundin ang kanilang tiket para sa anim na distrito sa Congress at 36 na Konsehal.
Nagsimulang mag-convene ang Asenso Manileño nitong Biyernes at dakong alas- 3 ng hapon ay sinimulan ang pormal na programa.
Sa anim na kinatawan ng Maynila sa Kongreso, lima dito ang mula sa Asenso Manileño na pawang mga House committee chairpersons.
Ito ay sina: Rep. Rolando Valeriano (2nd District of Manila), Chair of the Committee on Metro Manila Development; Rep. Joel Chua (3rd District of Manila), Chair of the Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability; Rep. Edward Maceda (4th District of Manila), Chair of the Revision of Laws Committee; Rep. Irwin Tieng (5th District of Manila), Chair of the Banks and Financial Intermediaries Committee at Rep. Benny Abante (6th District of Manila), Chair of the Committee on Human Rights.
