MANILA Mayor Honey Lacuna called on the bureau of permits and licensing office (BPLO) to continue with its creativeness to better help existing business owners in Manila and encourage more to invest in the city.
In her short message at the flagraising ceremony yesterday, Lacuna commended BPLO chief Levi Facundo and his entire office for the numerous programs and projects that he was able to introduce during the past two years even in the wake of a pandemic.
“Ibig lang sabihin, naging innovative at creative at hindi sila tumigil sa mandato ng tanggapan,” she noted.
The efforts of the BPLO through Facundo, she said, has brought much help to the business owners in the city, both big and small to help them survive the pandemic, specially the small ones.
“Totoo, maraming natulungan ang BPLO lalo na malilit na ngeosyante.
Patuloy tayong ttuulong at gaya nga ng laging sinasabi ni dating Mayor Isko, lahat dito ay pantay-pantay, walang mayaman, middle class o mahirap,” Lacuna said, adding that the same applies when it comes to opportunities being given to succeed in any endeavor.
“Sana ay makaisip pa kayo ng ibang paraan para matulungan and ating mga kababayan,” Lacuna said, in reference to Facundo and his team.
Meanwhile, Lacuna led those present in offering a silent prayer for the late President Fidel V. Ramos.
In behalf of the city of Manila, Lacuna expressed deepest condolences on the passing of the former President.
