PAGSALUBONG SA CHINESE NEW YEAR SA MAYNILA, PINANGUNAHAN NI MAYOR HONEY

PINANGUNAHAN ni Mayor Honey Lacuna ang lungsod ng Maynila sa pagsalubong sa Year of the Wood Snake kasama ang mga miyembro ng Filipino-Chinese community sa isang pagtitipon na dinaluhan ng halos milyong katao.

Sina Mayor Honey Lacuna at City administrator Bernie Ang (ikatlo mula kanan) sa Chinese New Year countdown sa Jones Bridge, kasama sina FFCCCII President Dr. Cecilio Pedro. Sinamahan si Lacuna nila Vice Mayor Yul Servo, City Administrator Bernardito Ang, FFCCCII President Dr. Cecilio Pedro, at Minister Counselor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China Hon. Zhou Zhiyoung, tourism director Charlie Dungo, MCDC executive director Willord Chua, Joey Go of Hi-Top, Peter Zhuang of Filipino-Chinese Youth Entrepreneurs at mga city councilors, pati na rin ng daan libo katao sa bisinidad ng Pasig River, kung saan makikita ang ginawang pyromusical display and drone show.

Bago ang Chinese New Year countdown, ang Filipino-Chinese Friendship arch ay pinailawan muna.


Sa kanyang mensahe, pinasalamatan ng lady mayor si Ang at ang iba’t-ibang Chinese organizations sa lungsod sa pagtulong sa pagbuo ng mga nasabing aktibidad nang walang gastos ang lungsod.

Pinuri ni Lacuna ang papel ng Chinese-Filipinos sa grand celebration na bahagi pa rin ng 50 years of Filipino-Chinese diplomatic relations.


“Watching the fireworks display in the Binondo-Intramuros Bridge is becoming a tradition in this part of the country. Year after year, we will renew the long-standing friendship between China and the Philippines.We join the entire Filipino Chinese community in the observance of this very important event with the hope of embracing all positive things, attracting prosperity and peace among families for the entire lunar year,” sabi ni Lacuna.

Idinagdag pa niya na :”Let me take this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to all our fellow Filipinos with Chinese descent, most specially those who opted to reside and do business here in our country’s capital. We give our special thanks to the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. and to all other Filipino Chinese organizations, families and individuals for all the support that you have been extending to the City Government of Manila.”


“We extend our warm greetings to the entire populace of the Peoples Republic of China all over the globe. As we welcome the Year of the Wood Snake, we hope that all of us can pursue opportunity and success. We wish you and your loved ones happiness, prosperity, and good health and fortune. May all of us extend mutual respect and high regard to our countries, and let us all work hand in hand to make our world a better place to live in Gong hei fat choy, Gong xi fa cái, Kiong Hee HuatTsai, Manigong Bagong Taon!,” pahayag pa ng alkalde.
