Mayor Honey Lacuna assured Manilans that her administration will continue caring for them in the years to come.
Lacuna said this during her Christmas message over the weekend, where she said: “hangad natin ang tuloy tuloy na kalinga sa bawat isa sa mga susunod pang mga taon.”
The lady mayor assired that with the help and support of all city officials, the Manila local government will continue delivering basic services in the best way possible.
“Patuloy ang ating pagsisikap na ihatid ang serbisyo na puno nang malasakit, maayos, masinop, malinis, at tapat” she said. In her Christmas address, Lacuna announced that the city government has distributed Christmas food boxes to Manila’s 695,000 families; gift boxes given to more than 179,000 senior citizens and the beneficiaries under the city’s social amelioration program (SAP).
These beneficiaries are the senior citizens, solo parents, persons with disabilities (PWDs), senior high students and college students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and the Universidad de Manila, who all received monthly cash allowances from the city under the SAP.
Except for the students who receive P1,000 monthly, all senior citizens, PWDs and solo parents get P500 in monthly cash aid from the cit.
Lacuna assured that the said cash assistance will continue to be given next year for the said beneficiaries. (JERRY S. TAN)
