MAYOR HONEY LAUDS DEDICATION OF CITY PERSONNEL AS CITY REAPS AWARDS

Mayor Honey Lacuna lauded the dedication of city personnel which she said resulted in the city government continously getting awards for its performance in various aspects.

Lacuna expressed pride for the awards received by the Manila city government at the Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Summit, as follows: 2nd in overall most competitive for highly urbanized cities;  2nd  place most competitive in innovation and intellectual property filers; fourth place, most competitive in economic dynamism; 5th place, most competitive in resiliencey and 1st place most competitive in infrastructure, at which point  she lauded the City Engineer’s Office headed by Engr. Armand Andres.

In other words, ‘sariling sikap’ at hindi galing sa labas.

Meanwhile, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) also awarded the city of Manila with special recognitions for its anti-drug abuse council (rating, highly functional); council for protection of children (functionality audit- ideal); local peace and order (highly functional); LGU compliance assessment, Manila bay cleanup, rehabilitation and preservation program, (highly compliant).  Manila was also fifth place in the “2022 Lupong Tagapamayapa” incentive award.(JERRY S.
