MAYOR Honey Lacuna entered into a memorandum of agreement with a private academic institution that would be offering a huge discount for students who reside in Manila.
In the said MOA, Lacuna said EAC agreed to give interested Manilans a 50 percent discount in their tuition fees, should they choose to study there.
The offer, Lacuna said, is for students who will be selected from various barangays.
She said this was not the first time that EAC had made the offer to the youngsters of Manila.
“In the past three years, meron na ding ganitong partnership. This is just a continuation bilang tulong sa mga kabataan sa Maynila,” Lacuna said.
The lady mayor said that the city government of Manila will stop at nothing to provide its young population with quality education in whatever way possible.
She said that the matter will be handled by Councilor Fa Fugoso who heads the Manila City Council’s committee on education and Lei Lacuna, who represents the Liga ng Mga Barangay at the city council being its president.
Those who want to enrol at the EAC may coordinate with their respective barangays or go straight to the EAC’s admissions office, Lacuna said. (Baby Cuevas)
