“I get things done. Kasi focused ako. Lahat ng problema sa buhay ko, hindi ko sinukuan at susukuan.”
This, according to frontrunning Presidential bet and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, will be the trademark of his leadership when he gets elected in May.
“Bilang basurero, bilang sidecar boy, bilang artista, bilang public servant na hindi nakapag-aral. Lahat ‘yun pinunan ko, nilagpasan ko, natawiran ko kaya itatawid namin kayo ni Doc Willie (Ong) sa problemang ito,” Moreno said.
Moreno said he is offering himself to those who simply want peace of mind and a break from bickerings between two camps for the past 35 years.
According to Moreno, the big difference that his Presidency offers is that he will not be preoccupied with bengeabce against anybody.
Instead, Moreno said he will concentrate his efforts and focus on tiding over all Filipinos as the country reels from the effects of the pandemic.
Life and livelihood, he said, will be the priority along with provision of basic minimum needs.
In Manila, Moreno put in place programs that addressed the needs of the people in the wake of the pandemic, in which he was fully supported by Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna in her capacity as the second highest official in Manila, head of the city’s health cluster and Presiding Officer of the Manila City Council.
These include the provision of monthly cash aid for senior citizens, solo parents, university students and peraons with disabilities under the socia amelioration program; free medical services and medicines for COVID and non-COVID patients; free swab tests and mass housing buildings.
“Hindi kwento, hindi bola…. solusyong may pruweba. Nagawa sa Maynila, kayang gawin sa buong bansa,” Moreno vowed. (Baby Cuevas)
