INCOMING Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, the first woman to sit at the helm of the country’s capital city, thanked her supporters, volunteer groups, members of the media and vloggers for having helped her win the elections with a very convincing lead over all her opponents combined.
Above all, Lacuna said she thanks the Lord for the guidance she received and her family specially her parents and Mayor Isko Moreno for their all-out support.
In an interview, Lacuna said that she and runningmate, now vice mayor-elect Yul Servo, wiill serve the country’s capital city with the highest fervor to continue bringing it to even greater heights as already begun by the administration of Mayor Isko Moreno and herself.
According to her, the victory of nearly the entire slate of their local party Asenso Manileno is a validation of the appreciation of Manilans for all the programs initiated by the Mayor Isko Moreno-Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna administration.
Lacuna guaranteed that her assurance of continuance of present benefits for various sectors will be kept and is not a mere promise.
Among these benefits that are currently being enjoyed by residents of Manila are the monthly financial assistance for senior citizens, university students, solo parents and persons with disability.
Servo, who just like Lacuna, also led by a wide margin over his rivals, also thanked Moreno and Lacuna for having supported him when he decided to take a shot at the second highest post in the city.
He vowed to be a supportive vice mayor who will never be in the way of progress and taking care of the welfare of Manilans. (Baby Cuevas)
