Mayor Honey Lacuna is calling on all regular employes of the Manila City Hall to avail of the free annual medical checkup being offered by the city government, as she led the employees by having herself checked too.

Lacuna reminded that all regular employees must avail of the free annual medical exam at the city government employes’ clinic (CGEC), saying it is important for them to be healthy to lead a happy life and become more efficient in their work and serving the citizens of Manila,

City employees, she said, may avoid serious illnesses by availing of free checkup where any sickness can be detected early.

The free annual medical checkup is currently being offered by the Manila Health Department (MHD) and according to MHD head Dr. Arnold Pangan, the mayor has specific orders for the MHD to ensure that all of the city’s employees will go to CGEC.

“Kabilin-bilinan ni mayora na dapat bawat kawani ay pangalagaan, kaya hinihikayat ko ang lahat na magtungo sa CGEC,” he said.

Lacuna, who is also a doctor, said that employees just have to present themselves to the CGEC and bring their identification card.
In compliance with this, she said that the Office of the Mayor as well as the offices of Citdy Administrator Bernie Ang and Secretary to the Mayor Marlon Lacson will lead the pack of employees to undergo the said checks.
Meanwhile the mayor said that her call is also in line with the city’s celebration of the National Nutrition Month.

Lacuna commended and congratulated all of the city’s barangay nutrition scholars in celebration of the National Nutrition Month.

“Maraming salamat po sa halos linggo-linggo na nakikita kayong paikot-ikot sa lahat ng barangay at isinusulong lahat ng programa sa inyong nasasakupan,” she said.
